So it’s been a while since I wrote an update being married takes a lot of time just ask Shadi or Nasy.  It’s been about 6 months of us living together and everything has worked out really well.  Like any other relationship it has its up and downs and even if 95% of the time everything is great there is still that other 5% to work through.

I wish I had some great advice to write here, something about knowledge gained from dating or whatnot but I don’t.  I still don’t think I know much about relationships or how to keep them going.  I do know that this marriage was the best decision I ever made.

Being married you constantly end up thinking about things you never thought about previously.  Everything from job to fun to living location,… Everything becomes a bigger issue.

The good, well the bay area is full of things to do, from horseback riding to Napa Valley to kayaking to Santa Cruz to San Francisco festivals,… there is never a shortage of things to do on the weekend.  There is no shortage of jobs in my area in Silicon Valley and I get calls from recruiters every week.  The bad well we both miss Taipei but for different reasons.  I miss walking around in a city not having a serious job and going to school part time while my wife misses well everything about Taipei.

It’s funny neither one of us is a huge fan of the bay area and yet for the near future this is where we will be staying.  I am hoping that sometime in the future I can work something out with my company to move to a new location for a few years, maybe Europe maybe Asia.  It’s one of those things that we both want and right now I don’t have a clear path to but like everything else in life half of getting there is just trying so we will see.
