I’ve changed the title of the blog because of this.

I don’t have a filter for the 50mm lens that’s why I couldn’t get rid of the reflections.

Going straight to my fingers like paint on an empty canvas. Such a cliche phrase comparing wirting and painting. Can you break down a piece of writing the same way you would a painting ? That cross in the corner, the white eyes looking to the left, the cloudy sky with a ray of light falling on the widows brow, they all have meanings, hidden messages that you can only read if you are versed in the language of that period. Only if you lived that era, knew the section of society that it was meant for could you unlock the message and see beyond the paint see the meaning behind each icon.
But what about writing ? Is it the same can you read the message in this post ? Should you even bother ? It’s unedited afterall, unpolished simply thrown out for your eyes.
How will people read your writings 100 years from now ? What hidden messages will they see in there ? When they look at a novel crafted by Dan Brown will they see its beauty will they see the repeated plots ? When we read Joseph Conrad do we see what he wanted us to see ? Do we see the portrait he wanted to paint ? Is it up to the writer to paint the image or up to the reader to get the key. How many keys should you have ? Some people spend their entire lives picking up key after key but that keyring that they drag behind them blinds them to the simple paintings. What to do when you have all the keys but there is no lock ?

I posted 3 new pictures in the gallery. A preview before I revamp it all. I didn’t crop any of the pictures, the seal was actually a few inches from me and it took me a few tries to get the camera focused on him. They swim by pretty quickly.

So the links have been updated, I also went through the whole blog and put all the stories in one category. I mentioned this before but I was really tired of MT which was the old engine powering this blog. So I switched over to WordPress. The migration itself was pretty easy but the layout and the management is very different. The main reason I changed from MT to WP was because MT changed their licensing . I looked at a few different blogging tools and finally went with WP because it seemed that they are the ones with the biggest active user base.
The layout is the basic one that comes with it out of the box, I tried a few other layouts and didn’t like any of them so I will just have to fix this one to the way I like it.
That shouldn’t take too long since I want to redo the gallery as well and go to a picture a day type of tool. I might have to actually write something for that since it doesn’t appear that there are any good tools for photoblogging.
Oh and the bird and the girl are from a random pic I took at the long beach aquarium.

yeah I know it looks totally broken in IE, I had the same problem with IE before and found a fix for it. The short answer is you should use firefox, the long answer is I’ll fix it at some future point.
